Just for the record, I didn’t actually run around in Collector Armor to spite Javik. Those screenshots were for a lame joke I made elsewhere. I do dislike the guy, but that’s because of the type of person he his.
I took the time to get to know Javik. I spoke to him after every mission, even took him on a couple, and eventually I had a playthrough where I took him everywhere just to see what he had to say. He’s a hell of a soldier and I respect his abilities.
His distrust of synthetics is understandable given that his people had a war against them before the Reapers attacked. The thing that really gets me and makes me dislike him is his severe “survival of the fittest” outlook on life. My main Shepard is a paragon who tries to save everyone (because that’s what I would do) and he blatantly suggests sacrificing the weak for the sake of the strong.
The Protheans enslaved other races and Javik makes it pretty clear they would have done the same to humans if the Reapers hadn’t attacked. Javik is the person he his because he was born during his people’s war against the Reapers, but the Protheans as a whole were a race of conquerors who followed a path that severly clashes with my own ideals (and by extension those of my Shepard). That is why I dislike Javik.

Yes, Javik is like that at the beginning, but that can easily be fixed if you make him get along with Liara and keep him...
